ANSO Scholarship China 2025 Masters and PhD

 Anso is a non- governmental international Scientific organization founded by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Like every year, ANSO has announced 500 scholarship seats for Masters and PhD students pursuing their higher education abroad. The seats split is 200 for Masters and 300 for PhD.

About Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS)

                                                                               CAS is a national academic institution in China consisting of a research and development network and a system of higher education focusing mainly on natural sciences, technological sciences and high tech innovation in  China.

It has 12 branches and 100 institutions with around 60000 staff and 50000 post -graduate students.It is one of founding members of “The Alliance of National and International Organization for the Belt and Road Regions” (ANSO).

CAS hosts a multitude of Scholarships every year called CAS-ANSO. These  Include Master’s and PhD positions numbering 500.

Scholarship Program

                                       CAS- ANSO offers five hundred scholarships every year to students  primarily from developing countries( though the program is not limited to developing countries) and women scholars with about 40 positions awarded yearly to students from developing countries.200 positions are reserved for master’s and 300 for PhD candidates.

Candidates who are accepted to study by the scholarship Committee can study at The University of Science and Technology China(USTC), the University of Chinese Academy of Science(UCAS), or The Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) around China.

Continuity of scholarship

                                             Any awardee who fails the annual assessments will face the repercussions include

1. Termination of the Scholarship

2 .Discontinuity of the scholarship

3.  Students will be awarded only a certificate of study in China and not a formal degree.

 Eligibility 

                   1.Students must not be Chinese citizens.

                      2.Eligible should be proficient in English and Chinese.

                      3.Age limit is 30 for Master’s degree.

                      4.For PhD degree, applicant should not be more than 35 years of age.

                      5.Eligible students should not do other assignments during their                                        studies in China.

                     6.Students should meet the admission criteria for USTC/ UCAS.

                     7.Applicants for master’s must not be currently enrolled in a master’s degree in their home country and same for PhD.

 Required Documents

                                                          Applicants are required to submit the following documents in online application:

1 Photocopy of Passport.

2 A research proposal of no more than 800 words.

3 Curriculum Vitae.

4 Two recommendation letters from full professors or associate professors.

5 Provisional results from the university in case the students are not yet graduated.

The deadline for application submission is february 5 2025.
