Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship 2025/2026 Open Now
Hungary, a country in the heart of Europe has announced fully funded scholarships for international students for the academic year 2025/ 2026. Students from over 90 countries and five continents are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Students are offered with a plethora of facilities if they are selected for the scholarship.All study levels are there, i.e bachelors, Masters and PhD.
Overview of the Scholarship
Stipendium Hungaricum, the Hungarian Government's most prestigious education scholarship programme,offers a wide range of courses for high achieving international students with an excellent academic track record. The programme, funded by Hungarian govt in 2013, is supervised by the ministry of foreign affairs.
Degree Levels
The scholarship is available to all level of degrees.It offers scholarship for Bachelors, Masters and PhD. it also offers on tier masters and non-degree programmes.
Scholarship Coverage
Bachelors and Masters Programmes
1) Students are exempted from payment of tuition fee.
2) Monthly stipend of of HUF 43,700 ( EUR 110 ) contribution to the living expenses in Hungary, for 12 months a year, until the completion of studies.
3) Accommodation contribution- free dormitory place or contribution of HUF 40,000 per month( 100 Euro) for the whole duration of scholarship period.
4) Medical Insurance-Health care service according to relevant Hungarian Legislation and supplementary medical insurance of upto 65,000 HUF (160 Euros) per year.
Doctoral Programmes
1) Exemption from the payment of tuition fee.
2) Monthly stipend- according to the current Hungarian Legislation, the monthly amount of HUF 140,000 (350 Euros) for first phase of education Four semesters 12 months a year and HUF 180,000 (450 Euros) for the second phase Four semesters 12 months a year until completion of degree.
3) commodation contribution- Free dormitory place or a contribution of HUF 40,000 per month as a contribution to the rental cost.
4) Medical Insurance- Health care services according to the Hungarian legislation and supplementary insurance of up to HUF 65,000 per year.

Stipendium Hungaricum is based on the bilateral education agreement between Hungary and the sending countries.
